Consider a career in hay
Our team is continually expanding so we’re always interested in meeting talented people to fill a wide variety of roles across our regional sites and offices.
In collaboration with Marcus Oldham College and Adelaide University, Hay Australia is proud to offer two internship placements for their students who are currently studying agriculture or agribusiness.
We are looking for collaborative and passionate interns to join our two-week paid internship program starting in July 2025. We have two positions available, each based at our southern hay processing sites located in Paskeville South Australia, and in Bridgewater Victoria.
This is your opportunity to be exposed to Australia’s fodder industry, a strong industry that has built a growing demand for Australian hay products right across the world. You’ll gain valuable experience in grower relationships, how hay is produced for domestic and export markets and an understanding of how growing hay can be profitable for farmers.
You will join part of our national Grower Services team who work closely with over 400 growers to provide agronomy advice and support in producing hay and straw that meets Australia’s export compliance standards.
Working with our local Grower Services Manager, you will participate in grower visits and support the team with paddock inspections to identify, and document contamination risks and gain hands-on experience in weed identification.
At site, you will assist with weighbridge inspections and moisture testing, a critical point in our quality assurance process. You will also gain an understanding in our hay sampling and selection process for export orders.
